Discovering The Passion That I Lost, But Now Found

I have been thinking a lot of what I had discovered while in Europe. The trip was for personal and professional discoveries, but the more I think about it, it was more about discovering my passion again. As I was walking around in London and Paris I was in such awe of the beautiful old artictecure buildings and at the same time amazed on how the blending of the artictecural modernism that surrounded them, I realize that I had lost my passion and felt lost. That all changed once I walked into The Musée du Louvre www.louvre.fr/louvrea.htm

Imagine being a child walking into Disneyland for the first time. That excitement was what I felt ever since I was a little girl. I have dreamt someday I would see the artist that influenced my love of art and had great influence of my own art:
Picasso, Kandinsky, Matisse, Monet, DeVinci, Cezanne, Degas, Rousseau, Van Gough, Renoir, Chagall, etc
As I stood in front of one of my favorite Picasso's paintings

I felt a tear rolling down my cheek holding my breath as if I was going to wake up and realize this has to be a dream. I must have stood there for about 20 minutes breathing very shallow. I couldn't believe that I was actually just a few steps away from the painting. As I walked more and saw more of the wonderful paintings that I read, seen in books I realized I was home.

I have decided to write a blog on what I am passionate about and everything that inspires me as an artist. I want to share, educate, and hope influence people around Seattle to go out renew their passion.

Let the discovery of Seattle begin....
